Run for a Cause

Run for a Cause began 14 years ago as an opportunity to make a difference for local organizations in Randolph and surrounding communities. In the past 15 years, we have raised over $35,000 for area non-profits.

Our largest fundraiser is our Labor Day Run For A Cause. This run consists of both a 5K run/walk and 10K run. Overall awards and age group awards are provided, along with a fun finisher award.

Testimonial from In-Person 10K Run and 5K Run/Walk on July 12, 2020

It was a great time and a fun event. Everything was well organized and explained so every one knew what to do and where to go.  This includes how prepared everyone was for social distancing.  You should be extremely proud of yourselves and the volunteers who did an outstanding job!  Your sponsors should be very proud as well of the great work and example you set!

If you have any races in the near future please let me know, as my wife has just started running and if available we would like to participate.

Thank you again!  Job well done!”

Testimonial from the virtual 5K Run on June 28, 2020

You did a great job with the logistics of the virtual race! I really appreciate the virtual race as option to support the cause and go running right now! I have been running a lot of these races, and your instructions and communication were by far the best!

Thank you!

We are very excited to announce that the 2021 run will be benefiting the Randolph Fire Department and Rescue Squad. It is our goal to raise $5000 for these organizations.

We received a letter this past Christmas with a request for equipment needs. Here is a partial excerpt from this letter:

“Each month has a safety messages to remind you to be careful and to think about safety

every day. In addition, the local businesses that supported this calendar have provided

their information. Please help support our local businesses and keep our community a

great place to live.

As you may already know, the Randolph Fire Department is a volunteer organization.

Even though we are volunteers, we are ready to respond to the needs of the community

24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We currently have a membership of 31 firefighters and

we in need of more members. If you are interested in joining us in protecting our

community please contact the Fire Department Office at 326-4630, email at or any member of the Randolph Fire Department for an

In order to maintain our department and the professional skills of our members, we are

continually improving our equipment and training. The required skills, tools and

equipment continue to become more and more involved. In order to meet these

requirements, it costs money. Although it isn’t required, we have provided a selfaddressed

envelope should you be able to find it within your means to make a donation.

All donations will go toward purchasing or updated safety equipment, tools and training.

This year we would like to raise funds to purchase a fire extinguisher trainer. This piece

of equipment can be used for firefighters as well as the general public.”

We look forward to helping make a difference in the lives of those helping our community.
